Sparkling Image Car Wash of Bakersfield will host its annual fundraiser to benefit the Kern Environmental Education Program (Camp KEEP) on Friday, Sept. 20. For every full-service car wash or oil change purchased that day, Sparkling Image will donate 50 percent of its proceeds to the KEEP Foundation. Since 2011, Sparkling Image has donated more than $100,000. WOW Wildcats! We did it again!!!!! It is only day 6 of school and we already hit 100% attendance. That means every student enrolled at Semitropic was here today! We can not be more proud of our students, parents and staff who made this possible. We are living up to this years theme of "Starting the year off WRITE!" Semitropic hopes we get to take more photos just like this throughout the year to celebrate Wildcats in school, Wildcats learning, and Wildcats growing! We can do this by coming to school everyday. Dear Semitropic Community, I consider it a true privilege to have been appointed Superintendent of the Semitropic School District. I would like to express my gratitude to our Board of Trustees and share that my commitment to our community is to work on behalf of all of our students and staff. The Semitropic School District strives for academic excellence as we reflect the community dream that all students will graduate from Semitropic with options for future endeavors. We follow our guiding principles of having high expectations and rigorous curriculums, creating positive and nurturing school environments, and having schools where families are welcomed and respected. I am eager to foster and cultivate relationships with our teachers and staff, students, families, and educational partners to ensure the continued success of our students, schools, and community. Friday, March 22nd is an early release. All students will be dismissed at 1:15. Spring Break starts Monday March 25th and goes through April 1st. We will see all of our Wildcats back on Tuesday, April 2nd. Enjoy your time with family and friends.
